  • A New Modernist Landmark: The Albuquerque Main Public Library (digital broadcast). An exclusive virtual tour of the Albuquerque Main Public Library, the city's newest landmark! Designed by George Clayton Pearl, FAIA, of the architectural firm Stevens, Mallory, Pearl & Campbell, the flexible library space masterfully blends regional sensibilities with modernist principles. Completed in 1975, many original design features have survived the years, including funky and futuristic 1970s furnishings and fabrics. The free, virtual tour of this modernist monument takes you behind closed doors, up dark stairways, and into time capsule spaces all the while exploring the subtle brilliance of the building's design concept.

HOW CAN I DESIGN MY OWN TOUR?

We recommend visiting our Instagram account to select some buildings that you are interested in seeing during your exploration of Albuquerque. Many of our posts include location details. You can also visit our Resources page for more insights. Please be mindful of private property and photography restrictions while exploring the area's architecture.

HOW DO I GET MY HOME ON THE HOME TOUR?

While we aren't actively planning another home tour, we are happy to hear from homeowners who would like their home to be considered for one.

Please send us an email with your name, address, photos of your home's interior, and any details you know about it. We look for homes with interior designs that complement the architecture and feature original details, but not all furnishings or features have to be vintage.
