Hal Dean, designer
One of the few expressionist structures in Albuquerque, this building, which opened as an Albuquerque Federal Savings & Loan, was designed to convey elegance, modernity and security - 360 degrees in the round. The circular theme continues in the structure's landscape design and interior, which houses a grand spiral staircase and a circular bank vault. Designer Hal Dean selected the charcoal brick exterior masonry for its durability.
